€œOwn€ a part of the PCCM ... sponsor a square foot of the MultiPurpose Room

Be a part of the proud legacy of our Filipino-Canadian Community Join the BAYANIHAN Sa PCCM - Multi-Purpose Room Fundraising Campaign

Caption for the Bayanihan picture: * Bayanihan: (pronounced ba-ya-ni-han) is a Filipino word for the tradition which means spirit of cooperation such as depicted in this picture.

The New Philippine Centre and the Multipurpose Room
A key feature of the new 14,000 square foot Philippine Centre is the Multi Purpose Room (MPR), which provides an ideal venue for large cultural and social celebrations as well as different kinds of group gatherings and activities.

What is the Bayanihan* sa PCCM €“ MPR Project?
The PCCM, Inc. Board, in response to the direction expressed by the community, has authorized the start of the construction using the close to $1.2 million funds so far raised through government grants and pledges from charitable foundations as well as from fundraising initiatives involving business, community organizations, and indi-viduals from both the Filipino and the wider communities.

To assist in meeting the financial goal of a debt-free new Centre, the Ladies of the Knights of Rizal (LKOR), an active civic-social organization in our community, has launched the Bayanihan sa PCCM MultiPurpose Room (MPR) Project. It is endorsed and fully supported by the PCCM, Inc. Board.

The project goal is to raise funds equivalent to the estimated cost of building the MPR. Budgeted at $100 per square foot, the 4,500 square-foot MPR would amount to $450,000.

How much /How soon do I contribute?
The goal of raising $450,000 can be realized if individuals, families, organizations and businesses "adopt" or sponsor the construction of each of the square-footage cost of the MPR.

Each contribution of $100 will permanently link you (the donor) symbolically to a square foot of the MPR. A small contribution you may think, but it represents a priceless legacy for our community.

We strongly encourage that all donations be submitted as soon as possible.

How will my contribution be recognized?
€’ A tax deductible receipt will be issued for all your contributions.
€’ Names of project donors will also be published in our community newspapers.
€’ With your permission your name will be acknowledged in appropriate amount categories which will be displayed in the new Centre.

Example: Donors of $1,100 - $5,000 will be listed in the Kabalikat-Pearl category; $500 -$1,000 in the Kaakbay-Ruby category;
$100 - $400 in the Kaagapay-Coral category
